The monastery of Vrissiani is located in Exabela and is one of the biggest on the island. It was built in the 17th century and is dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This intricate building also houses the local Ecclesiastic Art Museum, where visitors will have the chance to see rare copies of old editions, a gospel dating back to 1796, reliquaries, cherubim banners, utensils, vestments, icons, and many more.
